Article 2 - What data do we process?

We process personal data that you provide to us when placing an order, creating an account, filling out a contact form, or subscribing to our newsletter. This includes the following data:

-       First and last name

-       Address details

-       Email address

-       Phone number

-       Payment details (processed via our payment provider)

-       IP address

-       Data about the use of our website (via cookies)

 

Article 3 - What do we use your data for?

Bukowskiknuffels processes your personal data for the following purposes:

-       Processing your order and payment

-       Shipping ordered products

-       Sending an order confirmation and any shipping information

-       Handling complaints and returns

-       Sending our newsletter, if you have given permission for this

-       Improving our website and services

-       Complying with legal obligations

 

Article 4 - Legal basis for processing

We process your data based on:

-       Performance of the contract: when you place an order, we process your data to fulfill it.

-       Consent: for sending the newsletter, we ask for your explicit consent. You can withdraw this consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in the newsletter or by contacting info@bukowskiknuffels.nl.

-       Legal obligation: we retain invoice data for seven years due to tax retention requirements.

-       Legitimate interest: for website analysis and improving our services.

 

Article 5 - Retention periods

We do not store your personal data longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.

-       Order data: seven years (tax retention requirement).

-       Account data: as long as you have an active account, plus two years after inactivity.

-       Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe.

-       Website behavior via cookies: in accordance with the cookie statement (see part 2 of this document).

 

Article 6 - Sharing with third parties

Bukowskiknuffels will not provide your data to third parties, unless this is necessary for the execution of the agreement or to comply with a legal obligation. We use the following categories of processors:

-       Delivery services: for delivering orders.

-       Payment providers: for processing payments. Your payment details are processed directly by the relevant provider and not stored by Bukowskiknuffels.

-       Email marketing services: for sending the newsletter, only if you have given your consent.

-       Shopify: our e-commerce platform processes order data. Shopify complies with the GDPR.

We enter into a processor agreement with all parties that process personal data on our behalf.

 

Article 7 - Transfer outside the EU

Some of our processors are located outside the European Economic Area (EEA). We ensure that the transfer takes place on the basis of appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

 

Article 8 - Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:

-       Right of access: you can request what data we hold about you.

-       Right to rectification: you can have inaccurate data corrected.

-       Right to erasure: you can request to have your data deleted, unless we are legally obliged to retain it.

-       Right to restriction of processing: you can request to temporarily restrict processing.

-       Right to data portability: you can request your data in a readable format.

-       Right to object: you can object to processing based on legitimate interest.

Article 9 - Filing a complaint

If you believe that we are not processing your personal data correctly, you have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

Bukowskiknuffels takes the protection of your data seriously and has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, and unauthorized disclosure. The website uses a secure HTTPS connection.
