About us

We are a family with three children and have shared a great love for cuddly toys for years. Not just any cuddly toys, but ones that last for years, are wonderfully soft, and immediately win a special place in our hearts.

On our favorite island, Terschelling, we first encountered the beautiful Bukowski cuddly toys years ago.
Our children were instantly smitten. In fact, every year they saved up to choose a new cuddly toy during their holiday. Now, quite a few Bukowski friends live in our home. 😅

Over the years, we regularly had contact with the store owners. Our shared love for these special cuddly toys eventually led to the idea for this webshop. A place where we can share our favorite cuddly toys with others, even if you can't just pop over to Terschelling.

With great care, we curate a collection of quality cuddly toys that make children laugh, comfort them in sad moments, and accompany them on the most beautiful adventures.

What are the shipping costs and how long does delivery take?

We offer free shipping on orders over €75. For orders below this amount, we charge €5.95 shipping costs. Orders placed before 2 PM on weekdays are shipped the same day. Delivery usually takes 1 day.

Can I return my order?

Yes, you have 14 days to return your order. The product must be unused and in its original packaging, including tags. The return must first be registered at sales@bukowskiknuffels.nl and sent back with a track & trace code.

What are the return shipping costs?

We naturally hope that your new cuddly toy will immediately become a beloved companion. If it's not a perfect match, you can return your order to us within 14 days. The costs for returning the item are at your own expense. With this, we encourage conscious choices and limit unnecessary shipments. This way, we can continue to focus on what is most important to us: quality cuddly toys at a fair price.

What are the instructions for the Bukowski music box?

1. find the pull cord: the 'tail' is the pull cord attached to the music box 2. gently pull the cord straight down. Hold the cuddly toy with one hand and gently pull the cord with the other hand until you feel a natural resistance 3. release the cord so that the music can play. The cord will slowly retract, and the music will begin. 4. repeat these steps if you want to listen again. Important: Please do not pull hard, twist, or pull at an angle. Rough handling can damage the mechanism or break the cord.

What are the plush toys made of?

These beautiful creations are exclusively designed in Sweden, with respect for the highest standard of quality and safety for timeless cuddly toys. All products are made from synthetic polymaterials, which minimizes the chances for bacteria to settle, and we are currently in the process of transitioning our filling to a recycled polyblend.

Can the cuddly toys be washed?

All Bukowski Bears products are handmade with delicate materials, so we recommend handwashing them gently to keep them soft and in shape. Here's how: 1. Fill a sink or basin with cool or lukewarm water. 2. Add a small amount of mild soap, such as baby shampoo. 3. Gently agitate the bear in the water, squeezing softly, paying extra attention to any soiled areas. 4. Rinse thoroughly with clean water. 5. Gently press out excess water, avoiding twisting or wringing. 6. Lay the bear flat on a towel to air dry, away from direct sunlight or heat.

In the Netherlands, you know these beautiful designs from your favorite shop on Terschelling. However, this webshop is separate from the physical store, even though we have good contact. We cannot provide any information about opening hours.
